what can i say?! you're right again YDAKH. if we're down, people especially our own, shouldn't kick us. they should encourage and support our new movies which are slowly getting better. but there are some people who kick us while we're down, and jump aboard the bollywood bandwaggon. shame...just my opinion. if people like bollywood, fine. but that doesn't mean lollywood sucks. we're a little behind, but we're getting there...

i think you're right dashingbarbie. i think i know which comment you're referring to on the last, page, and i was caught off guard when i read it as well. lol. if you'll notice tho...i've been trying to sway people's attention away from below saima's neck, and onto her TALENT: ACTING!! she's second to none when it comes to that...in my opinion.

mr. pk, you're right my sisters do watch indian movies. but they DON'T watch anti-pakistani bollywood movies. hell no!! yes they watch bollywood in general, the normal movies, but not propoganda filled movies. and thats what i said.....the people in bollywood who make ANTI-PAKISTANI movies are retards. i have no problem with someone if they watch normal bollywood movies....
like it said..one or two movies, fine. but they're going over with these kind of films. and WE'RE coming up with propoganda?? yeeeah...ok....whateva......

i agree with you YDAKH.
a movie may be a movie, but enough is enough. one too many anti-pakistan movies. it may "just be a movie" but it doesn't take a genuis to figure out that there'a alternative motives behind the movie. its not "just a movie" for the directors, and certain actirs. its an outlet to get a message across: that message being, anti-pakistani. if they want to ease tensions between these two countries, making anti-pakistan movies is not the best way to start. some people in bollywood are pure retards.

can't argue with that. u're somewhat right.
but don't say money doesn't matter...you give a guy like sayed noor a budget even remotely close to that of a bollywood movie and i belive you'll have pakistan represented at the oscars too, some day. money DOES matter. its the difference (money) between a big actor and a minor one. its the difference between that big name music director and no-name music director. its the difference between the better sound/picture and the lesser quality sound/picture. money gets you all of these things, in the entertainment industry. so again...if we had money, our overall product would improve.
but you are right to a cretain extent. i'm not saying lollywood is better than both hollywood and bollywood. i'm simply saying they;re not far behind, and you need to look no further than upcoming movies like laaj, salakhein, and especially larki punjaban to see that.
so again, we kick ass when it comes to music in general, we kick ass when it comes to dramas, and watch out, cause soon enough...lollywood will be up there with its competitors too, atleast in my opinion!!

you're right that the quality of pakistani films is a little worse than hollywood and bollywood. but again, you have to look at the resourses we have. u look at the new hollywood movie bad boys II. they blew up a real-life $40 million US home!! pakistan's ENTIRE LOLLYWOOD FISCAL YEAR (every movie: punjabi and urdu) DOES NOT ADD UP TO THAT $40 MILLION!!! lol. they're blowing up $40 million homes, can u imagine what their overall budget is for that movie???!! same goes for bollywood...they too can afford this stuff. lollywood unfortunately can't. that being said the quality is bound to differ from the other two. and we don't make crap all the time! if we did, then bollywood wouldnt copy us, right (sometimes)?!!!!
so we don't suck, or we don't make crap. how many bollywood films are hits?? they have their fair share of flops/crap too. our quality is weak, but we're slowly getting better!
other than that, you're 100% right ayeshakhan_fanatic...pakistani music is SECOND TO NONE! and their dramas the same.

i'll tell u whats funny man...its an industry as big as bollywood, copying stories from hollywood and music from lollywood. THATS funny. as big as they are, as 'technologicaly' advaced they are, you'd think they have enough class and resources to stick to their own ideas. when i see a hit lollywood movie (as rare as they are), i admire them more for making it a hit with the limited resourses they have.
